This was our first road trip in our Ford Transit converted van. We headed to Devon to the (not very) sunny south British coast to give her a test run.

We decided to make a video of our trip and give you guys a chance to experience it with us! We will start to video all of our adventures from here on out, we will give you an incite in to starting out your new “van life” We will also give as much information, help and advice we can along the way.

On our first trip we spent our nights at;

Gridlebrook Farm Campsite – The amenities here included:
Drinking water and 240v hook up at every pitch.
Laundry room
Reception area which Includes, Microwave tea and coffee making facilities.
Very friendly people!! We really mean that. The owners were lovely and very helpful, they gave us lots of info on the local area and flyers on things to do – great if you haven’t been there before. We arrived late but they didn’t come chasing us for money – I popped to their house, which is on site, to pay on the evening we left…they invited us in for a cup of tea and a chat whilst we waited for or change. Thank you to Cheryl the owner for making our first stay so lovely! ☺️
We plan on mostly wild camping but as it’s winter and our diesel heater wasn’t working, we needed a site with 240v hook up for our electric heater.
The site is cash only payment.
Grindlebrook Farm cost us £16 per night.
