Built in the back of an 1993 F150 long bed for a customer looking to do some surf trips to Baja or work from the truck after a surf near home in LA.

is that 3/4 ply?
Do you fasten the base units to the bed in any way? Curious if weight on the removable center panel causes the two units to collapse inward.
Love this build so much. I'm curious what type of hinges you use for the compartments that open from the top and do you have any installation tips?
Nice setup but rushing through to explain. Could do better
Awesome Dude!
How did u attach it to the bed?
Can those little 1×1 strips really support the plywood without breaking? Wont the plywood just bow out after a while of someone sleeping in the center of it?
Have you ever done anything like this in a Chevy/Gmc Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban?
You are good at what you do
I need your help….lol

Very nice. A wonderful alternative to commercial options that start at about $1200 and go UP from there.
Thanks so much for the video
Wow. Job well done!
Great build. This is the best setup I've seen. What are the bed dimensions you're working with?
What is the width of the bed with both sides on? Id imagine there would be some kind of foam or such for sleeping on.. what would the final height (sitting up room) for the sleeping area be once that is on? I'd probably opt to go without the side storage and have only the under bed compartments (or overhead or side nets) as we like to spread out and the dog won't sleep at the bottom. An overhead "fan-tastic" vent fan"would be a big help.
Nice job following the k.i.s.s. principal I'm using a cot right now and will probably follow your pattern and fabricate one. I like the storage.
Great Job.
nice woodworking dude , where are you from??
Well done my friend. Thanks for posting.
Very clever, functional and elegant. You do great work!
What kind of wood is this, 3/4" birch? Looks great, super clean and functional.
Very nice!
Great setup. Looking to do something similar for kayaking / biking but I have a liner in my truck bed (hard plastic drop-in type) so wondering if self tapping screws would still work? Any experience doing anything like this with a bed liner in place? Or wondering if the weight of the wood and the resistance of the plastic liner would be enough that I wouldn’t need to anchor it at all IF I used a full width ply subfloor (I.e. continue the floor across the middle section where you have the removable platform)? Any advice? Thanks!!!
one of the best truck bed camper conversion setups I've seen. Definitely stealing a few ideas from this one. Amazing work man!
How much do you charge people to do these conversions for them?
2nd vid of yours that I've watched… EASY SUB! Nice work sir!
I like it a lot
Great job
I really like your setup. Nice job! I am looking to make one similar however I want to have it so it can all be taken down without any tools. I was thinking 3 plywood legs that go the entire length that are dado jointed together from the plywood top. How can I keep the right side stable without mounting it to the truck? My thought is to have the back middle slide out not slide out and be fixed to the right side but connects to the middle leg. Would that work? My design will not have pull out drawers, just hinges and holes to lift up like some of yours. Hopefully I described what I am trying to do. Thanks!
Ive been looking for something like this for so bloody long
drawer under sleeping paltform has to be total length why wouldnt you.
awesome, thanks!!
Building it now, It's simple and user friendly
Simple is best: very nice.
wow, gave me some great ideas
Brian another awesome video thanks.
How did you attach the units into the bed?
Nice workmanship
Nice use of space.

someone needs to invent a micro air conditioner that will run all night on 12v
Nice Work!
