Rusty I cook and bake in a GOSun solar stove. Even when I'm not camping I use it at home all the time. You just have to learn to cook in a tube. Even on a hazy/cloudy day you can prepare a meal.
Back in the Day …When we lived in our Van , we bought a cabelas Folding Wood Stove and a Coleman Oven…. We cooked an Entire ThanksGiving meal on that setup .Stuffed Turkey ,mashed potatoes ,Brussels .homemade loaves of Bread you name it… Now we live full-time in our travel Trailer but the oven doesn't work .. were saving up for another trailer with a working oven etc. just couldn't live without an oven… Since were staying at an RV Park with shore power we picked up a small counter top convection oven …but in no way is it as good as a Propane Oven setup.
I think these little ovens are great. I've had a Hamilton Beach Convection Oven for about a year. Baked about anything you can think of besides a turkey in it. Not really big enough for those I don't think. Just baked a Digornio 12" pizza in it the other day. Easy to clean too. Absolutely love it.
Those little ovens are a great way to go. They bake just as good as a regular one. If you wipe it down after each use, it is easy to clean. Mine was an Amana, I think, and I really liked it. It did not heat up the house much at all. That was great. It was years ago that I had mine. They probably are a lot fancier now. If I wanted to broil with it, I turned the unit over, and the elements were on the top. It worked great.
I have the coleman camping oven. It sucks… I suppose if you were "CAMPING" not wasting a crap load of propane… and not HEATING up the inside and worry about it burning something down if it were to top over… I DO NOT recommend. Just buy a friggin RV oven and you're good to go. Good Luck!
I am back…people just swear by those convection ovens..some combo with that, sounds like great price on Oster oven…Probably, with further thought no micro is prefered as you are more health conscious and a toaster/convection combo the best. I studied in France at 20 and lived with a French family…they built their lovely house with their own hands…furniture too..started with the kitchen..she had gas burners with a lovely built in fancy fan above built into the tile counter and up to ceiling…. but the oven was a rather small counter model. She catered baptisms and confirmations..a HUGE thing there and then not many go to church after that… At any rate I know whether I liked a particular thing or not and most things I liked or grew to like and then there were the things you loved…I know one thing…i will never eat that well again in my life..It was so varied and lots of work she loved to do…her art form and unbelievable…I will never eat that fresh and finely on a consistent basis again..it is the first order of importance there and we did not get fat. We were young of course and walked everywhere and many places we had to go for the bus etc was uphill…Caen, Normandy..but everyone…… this hunt made me think of her small counter oven and amazing things that came out of it..5 star (even though I have not eaten at a 5 star LOL) quality…when the head is all there stuffed with an apple and trimmings..you know it is..French Fancy..lol. They had far nicer lunches at school than we do in states…but we all skipped it because dinners were course after course and huge..crepe night sent you over the edge, she kept throwing them at you lol….and you have to be polite and eat..no excuse..lol. I know it was all probably better too in 1980 than now..better soil..even though a priority..I am sure many take less time cooking at home now..they has students to pay for gas to go on vacation in summer and make ends meet so Mama could cook. Gas was so expensive and the house was cold and 2 baths a week….when young like that it bugs you…we took freezing showers (not hot) at the gym…gas is taxed there..it was like 4 bucks a liter then…a gas crisis time. So grateful for that experience..truly. This land locked gal got fancy fish..OMG…everything 9 times out of 10 was shopped for that day….Or she would drive to sea shore and took us on that adventure,,,for the fish.
I'm thinking them lil snoozy's R it! I found out about the lil snoozy on ur channel. On the lil snoozy I like a/c not on roof, no propane, no oven/stove, just a lil hot plate. I dislike those "garbage pizzas" lol. I enjoy ur informational videos.
Look up videos of an "air fryer." They sit on a counter. They have very accurate temperature settings. They are easy to clean. They can do anything an oven can do. They put out less heat into your environment. There are many brands out there, and they are fairly inexpensive. Some cost more than others. Once you get the hang of using one it becomes very easy. It will not hold a whole pizza, but it is great for 1/4th of a pizza. It's great for fries, tater tots, all the bad food we shouldn't eat. It's also great for chicken for one or two also. Brussel sprouts tossed with some oil, herbs, and parmesan are great cooked in an air fryer. Of course it is useless when boon docking without electricity, but for one person's dinner it's a pretty handy device.
Rusty please check out "OFF GRID with DOUG & STACY" they use a sun oven. It folds up for storage and it really seems to work great. There was also someone on youtube that did a pizza in a pan and it seemed to come out good. You need to get a metal cooking piece that goes before the pan so it doesn't burn. If I find it online I will post it.
The Oster oven is good , we use it at home during the summer to bake. So we don't heat the house up, only thing it bakes a little faster than our cookstove, set the timer a little less than it says.
Rusty you are going to need more STUFF from Amaziion. Powerr surge protector + Ext cord + extra sewer hose and connectors + Ext water hose + water PSI regulater + wheel chocks . and the list goes on and on.
Hi Rusty, I liked that convection microwave that R-pod had…it actually cooked some pizzas jam up! That's about all that POS R-pod was good for. One thing I do keep in the travel trailer, is the ol reliable cast Iron dutch oven…those things can make anything!….If those two are a no-go get the ol' counter top oven.
I think the best things are a smaller toaster ovens for toast and small things or if you are going to do more than servings for one or get a micro convection or larger toaster oven have to relearn the convection method. You so have 2 burners right.
I'll be surprised if you end up in an RV park even for a few months. But anything is possible on the Rusty channel. There can be some good RV parks out there, but not very many. Most have you packed in there like sardines, and right next to whoever they pick. One time they put a husband and wife cigar smoker couple next to me. You could barely tell which one was the wife. Very stinky. I moved. But to do that of course you have to go to the office and plead your case. If I'm boon-docking, which I prefer over RV parks, and I don't like who comes near me, I move right then and there. Then in RV parks I've noticed almost everybody has a stupid dog, many times 2 or 3, and big ones. Many times they are off the leash, because their dog is "special" and would never bite anyone, hah. They are always walking the dogs, who are crapping and pissing everywhere, including your site ( disgusting to watch and I've seen them leave it behind for someone else to clean up), not to mention the constant barking…bark bark, yap yap. And if you say anything–oh my God, there may be a confrontation with these kooks, and you are the worst person in the world to them–a dog hater.
We have a Coleman Camp Oven and it works just fine, but keep a couple of things in mind. It radiates a tremendous amount of heat. I have never used it inside the RV for that reason. Also, it has no thermal mass to speak of, so if you open it to check your food, you lose most of your heat and it takes quite a while to heat back up.

Can you say happy birthday to my wife when you do your next comment call? She enjoys watching your videos. Her name Oxana and she 43
I think the Oster is too big. I use the black & decker that can be used under the counter.
They do have videos on YouTube about the Hot Logic portable oven
You can get a HotLogic portable oven you can find it on Amazon
Have you thought about getting an Instant Pot?

Just add oven to your trailer problem solved .
If youtube is demonetizing your videos… why do they still show commercials?

Here is an article you may find interesting by Linda Loosli of Food Storage moms on how to cook when the power goes down:

Rusty I've had an Oster Toaster Convection oven for a couple years now and I love it. I much prefer using it to my big oven but my hubby eats alot and it usually doesn't hold enough. LOL I highly recommend them. This is the model I have. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Oster-Designed-For-Life-6-Slice-Digital-Toaster-Oven/20564683
