Amazon shows the male by it's self (Camco Propane Quick-Connect Fitting -For Use with Low-Pressure Propane Systems, Easy Install 1/4" NPT x Full Flow Male Plug (59903)
>>>ur2.pl/1095 Great grill for the money….had my first Coleman Road Trip grill for about 15 years….this only is easier to set up then the old one….folds up and fits in one of the storage compartments in our motorhome…
You probably solved it by this time, but the qc under the trailer is either a 3/8" or a 1/4" (unless it's something ridiculously proprietary!). I'd just take the plug off your new hose and swap it for whichever one fits into the trailer's qc… the trailer's qc is low pressure. The appliances are all low pressure — they take the 1"-20 throw-away cylinder thread. I'd have extension hoses with a 1/4" full flow qc plug on one end and a male 1-20 swivel fitting on the other.
I just bought my first RV and got a brand new Jayco T33L and can't connect my griddle or BBQ to my propane that has a pipe coming out the side that the dealer said was a great feature which I did too especially when I take my quad down to the dune but no luck. I really hope the dealer didn't just see a single mid 30's girl and think I was dumb and just make up what I wanted to hear cause I've gone to several stores and they said no you have to go and get one custom made which is crazy because standing in the propane section of the store there are a shit ton of adapter's so how can this be… please help I'm trying to understand but to be honest Im struggling.
I had a similar problem with an air hose connection, the end shaft was too long to lock in, I ground the it down to the proper length. ( keep in mind it wasn't for gas) bit the seal when it locks in should work. ???
Found the proper male end on Amazon, no problem, but only available in town with both male and female. Problem is my Coleman (without the regulator of course) appears to be high pressure and my RV is low pressure. So given the pin hole orifices on the stove there is not enough pressure on the RV to create a flame sufficient to boil water in any reasonable amount of time. Still playing with this, but it looks like I will need to permanently remove the bottle-necked orifices on the Coleman camp stove.
If you get the same brand as the kit from camping world the should all fit the female coupler. It looked like the one you had made was a bit smaller diameter
look at the ends of the fitting. so your looking down through it. you will notice the holes are differnt sizes. then if you look at the fitting on the shut of you will see a little bargoing acroosed it. if the bar going acroosed is to big it wont work.
Not an expert but all I can think is that they sell those quick connect fittings for air hoses and propane. They look the same but are actually just a tad different in size and are not compatible
I have been having this very same exact problem with my 2008 Jayco and Outdoors Unlimited RV500 grill. I went to every store imaginable, to include my local True Value, and bout part after part. Tried making my own, longer hose just like you….no go !!!! Ordered fittings from manufacture….no go. Lastly, I ordered the hose that originally came with the trailer from Jayco…..NOPE !!! I thought I would change out the connecter on the T/T, and I cannot get that thing to budge. I decided to stop before I broke a propane line and opened up a can of worms. If you find a solution, I would love to know.
Yes I have run into the same problem before. Is there a code on the male fitting itself? If so go by that code. You can also go to a plumbing/heating wholesaler or a BBQ place that sells parts to find the correct fittings.
Check out this page, it explains that there are two types of Propane "Quick Connect" connectors in use. One is for high pressure Propane (before the regulator) and the other is for low pressure (after the regulator). The Quick Connect connector on your RV is definitely a low pressure connection because of the regulator at your tanks. I just purchased a Propane (duel fuel) Champion Generator and I need to get Hoses for it so I can run it from my Quick Connect port on my RV. Thanks to your video, I now know that there are two different types of quick connect connectors in use for Propane appliances. Have you tried contacting the manufacture on the box that had both connectors. I have done this for other things and if you can get them seperatly they will give you a part number, who sells it and sometime you can order it direct from them, just a suggestion to try.

Check TEJAS SMOKERS Website…. there are numerous configs on these. https://tejassmokers.com/Brass-Fittings-Valves/22
The people there are very savvy and helpful (over the phone too!) and their prices are right. BB Cooter also has it right here – high vs low, etc.

I also had connection problems. ALSO why don’t they sell male/male brass nipples to connect 2 lines together??

I'm going to try this. One for my 2 burner stove and the other for the webber. http://propanegear.com/propane-quick-connect-y-adapter-with-shut-offs/

I bet one is a high pressure propane and the other is a low pressure fitting. There is like a 1deg difference si you can't interchange.

The one that I found that works with my on board propane quick connect system is a model 250 male QD plug. It cost $3.06 at my local rv store.

Did anyone find an answer to this? Im having this problem !
Go to https://www.etrailer.com/search/Propane+Quick+Disconnect they have what you need Happy new year Rv ing
I think the issue is that BOTH are propane quick disconnects, but one is for high pressure, and one is for low pressure (past the ounce regulator)
Camco makes a part for that, part number 59903. They sell them on Amazon

Hey, did you try pulling the outer ring down on the male side? I was having a similar issue and that solved it.

My dealer had a hose that was made to fit Olympian 5100 grills and that plugged right into my Jayco eagle camper
