In this video I talk a little about injuries in the wilderness. This is a really big and complex topic, but I hope some of my thoughts and perspectives makes sense to some of you. I hope you don’t need to use any of this information though 🙂

I've been within six feet of bull moose but the scariest was buffalo. When I lived in Montana near Yellowstone they always warn women who are menstruating to be wary of males in rut.
Martin have you considered just wrapping yourself in bubblewrap?
Did you tell your pop 1st because your ma would've just killed you?
Why were you holding a detonator when you were 14? Was it a "hold my beer" kina situation?
How long did you wait before you iced your hand? Ice, ice, baby!
Where can I get a sweater like yours for my brother?
Thank you, a very good explanation of what can happen & how to react.
GOOD VIDEO,,,,,thanks . FIRST AID not only in your backpack but in your head too…
Hei.
One of the best topics and very nicely presented.
Hey mate, those were some wise words. Very helpful and good to know. Thanks also for sharing your story about the hand. A tough lesson to learn but obviously one you got past. Great video. Always love the angles, focus and editing.
Martin very wise, excellent video, I'm glad i found your channel. Thank you for making your videos we all appreciate them. All the best to you
Hi Martin, Maybe next summer you can make a video of 'What if you lost your pack, and need to make shelter and food ?!' ?? would be a very interesting video 🙂
Your friend Eric ..
You can easily twist an ankle or break an ankle or leg which would really be rough.
I really appreciate the videos you are putting out. Thank you for your advice and tips and the entertainment you provide. The sheer beauty of where you go camping is mind blowing! My ancestors are mixed from Native American and Norwegian. So it is very nice to see some of the beauty of the Norway area not from a advertisement.
Great video, razor sharp cutting tools and other accidents can be deadly if your alone. Recommend that anyone camps/travels alone in remote areas carry an EPIRB
Hello Martin,
You are an awesome teacher. Certainly, you have one of my favorite channels. I like watching Lonnie from Far North Bushcraft in Alaska and you for the same reasons. You are real. And you speak directly and personally. You speak from experience and very practically. Many guys out there just repeat things they have seen on other channels. That gets old. You don't do that. I really enjoy you channel. Please keep up what you are doing. Not only do I learn, but also I just enjoy watching your videos of nature.
Great idea and great Video Martin. Cheers Steve.
we got the wolves lurking around these days 🙂 another good video mate.
i love your videos! thank you, this really was interesting
cool video's, it's nice to see the wilderness in that part of the world
