Hi, great video I have a 2005 1500 and going down the road after about 10 to 15 mins my front driver break starts locking up. No lights, I have changed the caliper and brake line and it still has not been fixed. After seeing this I am starting to think it could be the speed sensor. Any ideas?
im curious why there was no check engine or abs light lit up you you took it for a drive prior to showing the install
When I turn left, ABS sensor light dings and comes on. Then goes off after a bit. Is that passenger side?
I'm no wrench, by any means. I am however replacing brake pads and know my Silvy suffers from this sensor as well. This video really helped. Thank you so much!
Is it the same for the 1500
What was your reason for changing that? Symptoms of truck? I just had a shop do a complete brake job; lines, rotors, pads, the whole system. Now every time I come to a complete stop, the ABS kicks on and the front passenger side grabs. 07 Silverado Classic. Any ideas?
while you're at it change the oil
Great video but you likely had to replace passenger side. Since the wheel went left it means your passenger side was letting out via the abs system.
So when I replaced mine the ABS light came on. It wasn't on before I replaced them. Any idea why?
Hello Truck Master, I posted a GM bulletin that covers this, but it was ghosted – Can you please check your channel spam box ?
Great Video
My abs kept kicking on during the summer, so it pissed me off and i ripped out the 60 amp fuse, i trust my own foot to pump the breaks rather than a computer that may or may not decide to work, used my 60 fuse in my lightbars then
Just replace the sensor abs still kicks on when coming to complete stop only pulls to the left still, no lights come on what could be the problem
Thanks for the video,,,,,,
have the same truck. when at low speeds i step on the brake and the pedal will sink down a little bit. is this the same problem?
If it is pulling left then the right wheel speed sensor is the problem. The abs thinks that right one has traction issues so it only brakes the left wheel ala the truck pulls left.
I could tell you're from the midwest. In wisconsin our trucks look the same. my abs kicks on when I turn sharply into a parking stall and I'm trying to narrow down my problem. 2000 silverado
sure did help out that's bro
They rust under the sensor all the time no big deal you may just clean it then put a bit of oil on the housing and not repalce the sensor reuse the old one but to be sure go and change it.
