This is how I increased the ride height of my camper by 5 inches using the dexter spring under slung over slung relocation kit from etrailers.com. It only cost $45 plus shipping and has made a huge improvement in towing this trailer. I have towed in heavy winds and barely notice any difference in the sway or push of the trailer. Be careful when jacking up your trailer and use common sense and proper safety and jacking equipment.

axle flip rv camper trailer under over spring swap

Hearing this guys call items different names and stumbling on his words was confusing as hell. Leaf spring suspensions are not that complicated of a system to learn what a few items are called before you start recording.
Thanks for making the video. I watched it before doing my axle flip and it helped me out. Thanks again.
It would have been far easirt to simply head to walmart & pick up a drawbar with another inch or two of drop.
Length doesn't make it an "entry level" camper! size is a personal choice not a step down from anything else…
Great info, I'm looking into the same fix with my double axle, the sewer connections are jus to close for comfort. Happy camping.
To answer a few questions, the trailer does tow level now. That was the issue that with the existing axel set up, it was too low and caused the trailer to be extremely nose high and back end low. Not sure if or how to add an extra spring to the leafs. I suppose it may have raised it some but it's beyond me as to how to install extra springs. The springs had a locating dowel which made it super easy to line things up. I also attempted one of the drop hitches but in order to get the drop at the proper level, the bottom of the drop hitch was literally only 4 or 5 inches from the ground. If I used this set up, I would have been scraping the hitch every time I went over a small bump in the road. Thanks for the comments
Does your camper tow level? If not how about a drop hitch.
I loved the video but I was wondering about axel line up. Did the leaf springs have a lining dowell that fit into the spring seats
A bit dark – did you flip the axle and then drop it?
Great video. Proves that sometimes new things require adjusting and working just like older things that are a fraction of the price
That drop axle doesn't help your clearance. My little 17 foot trailer has a straight axle which provides more clearance. I flipped my axle and got 6 more inches of clearance. Now it's time to sell your limo suv and buy a truck with clearance.
It would not be a bad idea to add an extra leaf on your springs because your trailer is really close to the ground.
Looks like you could have skipped the kit..
Great vid…I have the 15BH and will be doing the same lift this week. Thanks
Great video!!! less talking tho man… could've been a 6 minute video.
