Winter Snow camping tent Alps Mountaineering Tasmanian 2 person is a 4 season tent great for winter wild camping that is loaded with features. It uses 7000 series aluminum poles (one continuous pole system with hubs that reach end to end, and an additional pole that goes across the tent to help stabilize in strong winds). It also features a full-coverage fly with two vestibules to help store your gear. With an additional pole on the fly, it creates a very large vestibule on the front for even more gear storage. There are two doors (one on each end). The Tasmanian uses extra-large #8 zippers so opening doors and vestibules are a breeze every time. Year-round, this is a tent you can rely on!

Thanks mate. Great review!
I have this tent in the Three Man version. It is too heavy for back packing, but does great as a deer camp base station. With my Mr. Buddy heater it does well here for sleeping away from all the snoring inside the main camp house. Mid twenties F here at night during Winter deer season with no real problems. Sometimes just a lit candle on the more pleasant evenings is enough to raise the temp inside the tent a few degrees. I have no complaints being out there away from all the noise and smells of the camp house just to sleep. Once I light my vestibule tea kettle in the mornings for coffee water, it is hot inside by the time it steams enough to whistle and force me up, so changing clothes calls for an opened window and roof vent.
used this tent in 55mph wind here is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTJ8uL1_bT8
But its heavier than feathers?
That was an absolute bargain at that price.
Great tent for the money. Can't get better than a lifetime guarantee.never known that
cheers!
your head looks heavy mate
I laughed when we watched a minute of the guy removing debris at normal speed and then sped up when the tent came out! all in all great review.
Nice tent.
Do the dance
Thanks for video, i am looking at buying same tent and was wondering how it measured up. Now that you've had it for awhile do you still like it?
Thanks for the video demonstration. Looks good. So glad I came across your video. I am actually looking at the 3 person one. I have read that the fly is somewhat difficult to set up. You didn't look like you had much trouble? How was it? PS, I am from Tasmania 🙂
Thanks for the video. I just purchased one of these for winter use in the Adirondack High Peaks.
Is this fully waterproof? have you tested it in hard rain? or with a water hose? Thanks!
Great video, and thanks for posting it! I'm considering buying this tent, but some of the other reviews I've found online gave negative marks for the rain fly assembly. Something about putting the poles in with the fly upside down before flipping the entire fly to attach it to the tent. The way you demonstrate it in the video calms my concerns about putting the fly up in bad weather, and I think I'll get the tent for winter camping here in Colorado. Thanks again!
Thanks very much for making this video. It was extremely helpful.
Where can you get this from mate ?
For the money that's a bloody good tent

For under a hundred quid mate that looks like a decent purchase Stuart, certainly big enough for you and Olly with plenty space in bad weather, look forward to more vids mate, I love Scotland, atb.
Stuart, I was not signed up to YouTubem but you convinced me to sign up so I could subscribe to your channel. I live in South Carolina and love your channel. One of my ancestors is from Scotland. He was from Glasgow and came to South Carolina in 1760 and fought in our Revolutionary War. He was supposedly in the Stewart clan. So Scotland is truly of interest to me.
Whenever you can't get in the woods or mountains, I wish you would do more vlogs on local scenery around Scotland. Just driving down the street and filming would be interesting to me. I've never been to Scotland and probably won't get there any time soon, so anything from there is welcome. It's my understanding the state of South Carolina is the same size as Scotland and England combined. It takes 4 or 5 hours to get across South Carolina, north to south and east to west. So maybe when you get a chance you can branch out further. Would love to see you camp out at Loch Ness. Maybe we'll see Nellie in the firelight :). Love your channel. Also love the videos with Olly.
Nice tent and looks like the perfect size. Good explanation of weight-to-application ratio. A lot of folks get hung up on the weight but very few are hiking the Appalachian Trial lol. Cheers homie
Keep the videos comin big man. This Killie viewer loves them. My wee girl Sophie loves them too.
It's a great tent. Yes, I would have preferred OD or Camo, but such color schemes are hard to come by. The color is good. Much better than Toffee Apple Red, or Lime Green. Cheers.
Nice one bro and you did a tent dance too, is it an adaptation of the spam dance or one you have kept quiet. Anyway neat tent. ATB
Looks good man. It seems like it will meet your needs. Was there a footprint that came with it?
Looks a nice tent better than your last one lol. Have you thought about a footprint for it makes all the difference.
thumbs up
Looks spot on mate. I like itAtbPaul
Hi Stewart: A good looking tent; inside & out. Not sure about the 4th reason if its in northern Scotland. Brian 77
Another great video Stu got to say though not a lover of the tent colour perhaps better with a more natural colour but thats my preference a great products non the less
Looks like a cracking tent for the price Stu. Winter tents are always heavier so don't worry. I've got a F10 MTN2 that looks v similar but RRP is about £500 ( not that this tight Scotsman paid anything like that! Ex display from eBay!). Looking forward to seeing it out in the wild. Atb Alan.
NIce tent Stu, cool music lol.
