What is your favorite time of year on the Oregon coast?
Lucky buyer
You should have been a Biomed Tech. Attention to detail. Good job.
how much you pay for NL 10.2?
See I stopped at 1:29. Not because the information is bad. But because you said, "Maintenance". See folks, no matter what you own, no matter where you go, live, decide to invest your money into. You absolutely have to maintain it or it's simply not going to last. Like your bodies, if you just sit there and do nothing, it'll turn to shit. Simple as that.
Can you order one of these from the factory with a cassette toilet system?
I just bought a '13 Northern Lite and to my dismay when I pulled the mattress out there was water damage on one side on the forward portion of the cab over. Guessing that outer seam is leaking most likely. Very helpful video. Thanks.
Curious, is this an aluminum structure as I’ve heard not only are they lighter, but they don’t have as many moisture problems. Thanks
The money they charge for these id think the quality would be much better and thx very informative
Nice vid …. do you have one in regards to living expenses for someone interested in this lifestyle , cost or expenses via camping?
Did you buy it New are pre own?
For your Al checker plate try the Teflon (UHMW).
For Caulking have you tried Sika Flex? It was on here the other year a product called (CT-1) it sounded very good sent them an e-mail and never replied but it sounded perfect? For your gear on the jacks try Super Lube comes in spray and grease impervious to road salt good for salt water marine applications. Try Cosmoline gun grease for stopping rust. Or that Epoxy paint.
How much did it cost you?
RWould like to see a review of the interior eg dove, refrigerator, bath, plumbing, bed a/c etc
Geez…I can't believe the caulk on those seams only lasts a year or so. I'm no expert, but why aren't you using some of the silicone caulks that "guarantee" they last for 25 years or so?
I've never heard of so much caulk
Just your thoughts on, if one should be applying some of that white caulking to the small sewer vent cover bases and at the ladder roof connection. I have had no issue's so far with my NL small vents leaking but that said when you scanned your roof top they look like to me they should get the same treatment as the larger vents. Thanks for sharing your 3 year update.
good to know, need to wax and caulk.
Very nice video so I subbed. One thing that I noticed is while you were showing your roof you had screws around if I recall a vent pipe and something else that I could see the bare heads on. I would suggest from my experience that the heads of the screws be covered with a sealer to prevent water from finding its way underneath the head and down the shaft of them. Another thing viewers should check for is screws that have not been sealer coming loose from flexing of the campers of all types and vibration from traveling down the highway or dirt roads causing them to come loose and leak also. I have been RVing for over 40 years now and I have seen it all. I prefer a self leveling sealer around the roof vents and vent pipes compared to the 3m sealer. And using the 3m sealer on area's that a self leveling sealer will not work but that's just me. Nice video. Cheers

Would you recommend any sort of spray on the jack legs or a routine to keep them rust free. I noticed some lances on the ground with rust on there legs as well. Nice video thanks for keeping it real and unbiased
Great video. Thanks for the information. I just bought a truck and yesterday had frame mounts put on it. The next piece going forward is finding a Camper to buy. I am hoping to find a used Camper in good condition, about an 8.5 foot camper.
Wonderful Video Thank You For Sharing Dear Friend Big Hugs XOXO
Great video! I asked and you delivered. Judging by the comments your video will come in handy for a lot of folks. It's nice to see how a Northern Lite truck camper hold ups. It looks like you won't be needing another one soon! Best of luck to you!
So WCR, after 3 years with your TLC, on a scale from 1-10, you would rate it at 9.5?
Thanks for spreading the word. What about that problem with inside condensation? (Bed area)
Great Video! Good info to know. I do a "Maintenance Monday" (learned that term from the sailing videos) and since I boondock a lot (currently on a 7 month trip) I do the MX weekly. Thanks again !
Are you happy with your truck? Or would you get something different after your experience? Good to see you back posting more cheers.
I've been subscribed to your channel since probably a month before your interior and exterior tour in 2014. Since you did a video like this, I would love to see an update on the interior tour. What have you done differently, upgraded, etc. I'd choose that video hundreds of times over anything I watch, even on TV. PS Every time I have trouble sleeping, I try to imagine myself living this life in that camper. Seems peaceful and cozy. I can't be the only one imagining myself doing that, hopefully. Thank you very much for the videos and hope one day I'll be able to live that simple of a life.
Hard to believe it's been three years already.
I have known WCR now for 3 years … Great Guy, very detailed, honest and loves adventure! This guy is also a hard worker. WCR You have done something that most folks only dream of doing. You had a Dream and most important … YOU WENT OUT AND ACTUALLY DID IT! Great Job. You did not have all the answers on day #1 but you found them out along the way… 3 years? What an Amazing Adventure you have been on. We Are Very Proud Of You. Keep On Keeping On!!! Now > write that How To Book we all want to read 😉
Great question to be answered. Wow I would never expect to have to caulk a new Northern Lite once a year. Can't remember if you bought new. So caulking and having to wax that monster? Guess I'll have to pay someone. Rusting jacks too? Do you think being on the coast is prematurely doing that? I don't plan on being anywhere need the coast. Re: the Jack issue – not covered under warranty? This is all great info!! Run the jacks up and down every 6 months? I really like the idea of adding those aluminum protectors. Did you glue them on?
