As Chuck says below, my SF 30 doesn't look like the one in your video either… My unit had not run in several months and when I turned the thermostat to heat up the MH, the blower came on, the furnace came on a short time later and the MH heated up to 72 degrees and cycled off. IT NEVER CAME BACK ON… The MH got cold but the blower never came back on and neither did the furnace. Am I right in believing that the delay switch is bad since that is the next in the sequence after the thermostat is set? Again, mine does not look like yours in the video and I can't see the delay switch anywhere.. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!
My SF 30 doesnt look like this. There are no switches visible on the outside, the sail switch is inside the fan cover, and the board is located on the left side secured with a metal bracket to the fan cover.. The RV was made in 2006. I cant find a delay switch anywhere. Any suggestions?
great video and well explain and if u still there to help can i ask you. What if the furnace calls for spurk and the heat comes on but it wont still on, it inmediatlly turs back off and then it tryes again a couple times but same thing. the gas goes but seems like the furnace doesnt know ignition is complited so, it turns the gas back off. thnks man
I have an SF-30 heater in my camper. When I turn it on, I hear the furnace click like it is coming on, but the fan never comes on. Am I right to suspect that the relay may be bad? Or, is this more likely a control board issue? Can you help?
My sf-30f suburban when you call for heat the fans comes on, I hear what I believe is the gas valve opening but I do not get the igniter cliking, / WHERE DO i START
hi I have the suburban SF-42 and my heater works sometimes but when it comes on it goes through the cycle just fine it igites just fine heats up then the gas is cut off and then continues to run also when I can get it to come on I usually play with that switch, so watching your video would i be safe in the assunption that that switch is bad ??? thank you
the circuit board and ignitor are good the igniter comes on the circuit board is doing its job and the valve is clicking I just ain't getting any gas I can't even smell it.It's going through the cycle good just no gas the ignite
I'm looking at this because I figured out today that my blower for my furnace only works on 12 volt, which is stupid. Why? If I'm plugged in to 30 amp service, shouldn't it have dual power, so I'm not constantly draining my batteries when it's freezing outside faster than I can charge them back up? Even if I put two chargers at 15 amps on both batteries, it takes hours to recharge. I also have to unhook all the power to the rv while charging "so I'm told" so it doesn't mess with the rv converter's small 3 amp charger. So there's 4 to 5 hours or longer I can't use the main furnace. I just don't understand why there's not an AC power option when hooked up to shore power.
