Both of mine broke, so I am getting new perches from ironmanfab4x4
What a shitty design
Not looking forward to this just found out mines broke on driver side.
Great vid man!
I'd really recommend wearing a facemask with that die grinder, google what happens when they decide to explode, they get launched into your face
so let me get this straight….instead of using a small neodymium magnet on a string to pull the nut up, and then hold it up while you put smaller bolt in it to help hold it in place and open AND THEN TACK WELD A SPOT so you can put the original bolt in and THEN WELD THE NUT BACK INTO PLACE….
you instead did EVEN MORE WORK!
what ever floats your jeep i guess.
any tips on how to remove rear leaf spring eye bolt?
cut the angles until it flattens out and then at the very bottom you pull that then you can just stick an open-ended wrench or a box wrench up in there when you pry the bottom out and put the bolts through. you don't have to cut into whetr the bolt goes
if you cut along the bottom it works alot better
Thanks for the video. Had this happen to me today, but the tack welds on the nut were broken and it spun freely . If you cut a little bigger (along the two diagonal bends) and then along the bottom, you can bend it out and get a wrench on the back side of the nut.
Don't know what the retard below is talking about but this video helped out a lot! Thanks Raffi
This video is worthless to me. I hit up their site to get some tips on how to go about this when you have a stuck bolt in the bushing sleeve. It's my first time dealing with something like this on a vehicle and they were not very helpful. My truck has been sitting on jacks for two weeks. 20 mins my ass.
you have great videos, keep them coming!
where did you get your xj hat?
dude. Im so glad this didnt happen to me. Once i got the bolt out, i bought a tap to clean out the threads.
