Nice, I've been doing this for years. I've never had to use a top layer of the wide tape on the perimeter.
FYI, some folks, like us, have blinds mounted next to the glass and which become enclosed by the plastic sheet. I pick the spot for the cord to come through the plastic, then put a couple of strips of the wide, thick tape you used over that area, 3 or 4 inches in length. Then a razor blade to cut a slit for the cord to come through the thick tape. The thick layer of tape keeps the slit for the cord in the plastic sheet from tearing further. Bring the cord through to the room side and you can raise the blinds on a cold sunny day, lower otherwise. The slit lets negligible air leakage.
