Done and done, many thanks. The cam on the bottom of the door had worn away to the point that it had separated from the shaft, which I had to pull out of the door. Thanks for doing this video. My wife congratulated me. And I pass those congrats on to you!
Thanks you for this video because my freind said you need a new fridge i think was all the couponing i do..Haaaa Thank you so much its getting fixed this Week.
Thank you so much for this video. I'm sure it saved me $200 min. I found the parts online and with your I help was able to fix this by myself. I'm ever so grateful to you for sharing.
Wife: I'm going to kill you for filming my refrigerator in my kitchen! Husband: The refrigerator door shuts all the way now. Wife: Aww, I love you, honey! [smooch]
thanks for the very clear information – I never met you but, this was awfully neighborly of you to do……… and I totally cracked up when you mentioned your wife knowing that you were videoing the process! (I think I totally get why she might feel that way, or even definitely!) I hope having a properly working fridge door makes up for it! 🙂
Thanks, this was easy as shit, and I learned something. Thanks, this was easy as shit, and I learned something. Thanks, this was easy as shit, and I learned something.
another tool that I find helps me with a lot of home repairs like this, is a 6-pack of beer. It helps with the especially frustrating tasks. I highly recommend you add it to your toolkit
My door started to not close completely about two weeks ago. It would almost close, but not seal. After watching your video, I looked at the door shelves and remembered that my wife had started keeping this very heavy thick glass juice container on the bottom shelf of the door, and coincidentally, that's roughly when the problem started.
Moved the container from the bottom door shelf into the fridge, and the door closed normally again. I love an easy fix.
Thanks for making the video. I was wondering if you have had other problems with your fridge. I have had to replace the compressor and ice maker already, now the door cam.
What was the lube that you used? Was it a Teflon grease or spray? I see that this video was almost 2 years ago, did the lube help? BTW, I found the parts for my Kenmore Coldspot on Amazon almost $4.00 cheaper than Sears.
you have the exact same fridge I do and my wife must have 15 different salad frigging dressings and more junk on the door then I want to say. My door is doing the exact same thing as yours was. Now that I know how to fix it, I'm going to order the part and take care of it. Thanks for the video.
Dude…. thanks for the video… informative… but please blow some of the dust and dirt and grunge off your Fridge… this is where you keep your food… Damn…
Thanks rawbdiggity for posting this video. I just used your instructions to change the cams in my fridge door and it works great again. With the help of your video the whole process only took me 10 minutes..thanks again!
Thanks for the video. I thought it was the seals on mine so replaced those but still have the same problem. Will try your fix now and am confident it will work. A gentle aside, the number of bottled sauces and wotnot you have in there is unbelievable!!! Totally crazy, how many kids in your house dude?! I am such a nazi I threw almost all of them out when replacing the seals and was not popular, indeed took an OCD pleasure to filling up the bin and got down to about ten or so, condiments, sauces, jams mustards and vegemite. I watched this twice just to see the contents of your fridge again!! No offense meant. Thx dude for the vid.
Informative video.
Thanks a lot for the nice video, it will help me a lot because I need to replace it on my fridg.

My handle broke on my freezer and now it stays cold and freezes a lot but some food was melted???
you are indeed a God sent. My fridge was doing the same thing and the guy was trying to charge me $200 to fix it. thanks a lot
Do you need 2 door cams? one for top and 1 for the bottom?
Thank you for making this. Great presentation style.
Thanks for the video. Too bad, apparently you can fix the fridge better than to operate your camera.
Are door cams universal or do I have to search one that is specifically for the fridge I have?
How did you get the blister on you left hand?
Great video. Got the cams on Amazon for 9 bucks. Took longer to empty the door and clean up than it did to throw the parts in.
Thanks so much for the video.
Your video + $9.00 repair kit from amazon and I'm back in business…
"Hey guys"…..

Very helpful video! Did the cams last longer this time? Thank you for making the video and sharing your insights!
