AIRSTREAM RENOVATION: New Subfloor Installation #airstream #renovation #rvliving
Today we’re building the subfloor, insulating it with reflectix, treating it with epoxy and setting the shell back on the frame. This ground-up Airstream renovation is one step closer to completion!

Hey cool! I love Big Daddy's!!! Crab Claws are the best!!!!
Regarding the reflectics. Was there originally something between the frame and the plywood from the factory? It’s looking good so far I am looking forward to seeing you guys finish it up.
Kyle, you never give enough credit to one of your most important tools. Your RULER! Nice job. I am finally catching up to you and your bride.
Congrats!! Looking good.
Wow! You guys have lots of skills! Amazing team!
Awesome to see this progress! Quick question… did you use elevator bolts to secure the subfloor to the frame or something else?
You guys are kickin some butt! Great job.
Love your channel… i know you probably wont be able to respond to this particular comment, but i was concerned with the ability of the reflectix to handle the exterior conditions of the road/ weather on the underside of your trailer subfloor. I dont think it will last in an outdoor environment. Let us know how it works out though, because if it lasts, its a great idea.
I was wondering, when you are traveling thru state to state do you have to stop at the weight stations? How does that work while you are traveling?

Yay!!! Tremendous. What a big project you guys took on – and you’re doing it, little steps at a time, and no worries, Kyle – you guys pulled it off!
Congratulations! I'm so proud of you both, great job! = )
Hi Kyle and Olivia Great to see this coming together but I have a question are you going to use any Under belly metal to protect your wood the vapor barrier you used is great for inside but my question is what is going to water proof the wood I would install a sheet of METAL under the trailer over what you did because you will have to re do this floor in less than 5 years You need Flex seal because as soon as it gets wet its going to swell and then have to be re done the glue will not be holding the foil
Yaaaay!!! I was so excited watching this vid!! It is VERY inspiring to see how motivated you both are with this project, and it's great to watch how you problem solve and achieve your goals. Thank you so much for letting us into this corner of your lives. Can't wait for more!
Fantastic job!
Great job !
This is HUGE!!! I expected that this part of the process would be the toughest. You took your time and did a GREAT job! Congrats!
I know exactly what you mean when you briefly spoke about the fear of working on your renovation and its a very real thing, I have experienced it myself on our Sprinter Conversion.
Its only natural when you're taking on a task that may be out of your comfort zone and has a financial risk to it as well if it goes wrong, but when you do take it on and you make it work there is a massive sense of achievement afterwards which far outways the fear that you felt before and that gives you greater confidence to tackle the next big task. Take each stage one chunck at a time and celebrate each one as a goal. Well done guys, loving your channel, keep up the good work.
great job guys. I bet if feels real good to see that big task accomplished.
Looks good.
Most excellent!!! So happy for you guys!!!! Looking good!!!!
Great Job you guys. I really enjoy watching you rebuild this.
You have reason to be very proud of your efforts and the results !! Great job. To wire and insulate will go fast. Are you going to blow in insulation or use matted ? Don't forget to insulate your floor even though you have the reflectix on the bottom, you will be happier with a warm floor. There are so many new products out there that will bring this baby up todate. This is so cool and I am excited to have found your channel.
Congratulations! It's so important to know when you're too tired to continue. Too many mistakes happen when your body and your brain are too tired.
Congratulations on completing this big step.
Wow, won’t be long till you are boondocking and living the dream again.
Awesome guys. Amazed at what you've accomplished in such a short time. I understand the needs of this project and am HAPPY to see you guys exercising good sense judgements as you move forward. Great job
Looking forward to the finished project.
IT'S ALIVE !!!!! Nice job guys …. keep going !
Woot! Woot! Congratulations! I knew you could do it!!
Golly, that was a lot of work. But, it is looking really good.
Great job!! Super happy for ya'll to get to this point.
Way to go guys and congratulations on your HUGE progress!! This must feel like an enormous accomplishment. It was wonderful to see Kyle's big smile. I'm looking forward to watching you make your dreams come true! Thanks for all the work it takes to share your adventures with the Tribe members!
Congratulations Kyle and Olivia! Wow, a major milestone reached! I'm really looking forward to your interior creation — it's gonna be so cool!
Awesome. Great job. I'm curious, how is the body mounted to the frame and subfloor. Can you show some pictures? Thanks
Awesome so happy everything is coming along so well!
Good job guys!!
Congratulations !
